Jinx and luck walked the streets in silence. After a wail Jinx noticed that his sister seemed else where, “are you okay?” he asked.
Lucky’s head jerked up to look at her brother. Her fingers were still on her lips, “hm?”
“Something wrong with your mouth?” he asked moving her hand a way form her lips.
She turned her head away as she did she spotted Bethyam and Galeed, “Galeed, Bethyam.” She greeted hopping to avoid talking about Tristan. It worked for the time being.
“Haven’t seen the two of you much since we came into port.” Jinx said.
“We’ve been looking for a ship to take us home.” Said Bethyam. She smiled at Jinx. They had spent most of the voyage together walking the deck when Jinx wasn’t working, and Bethyam wasn’t helping in the sick bay.
“We just found one” continued Galeed, “We were just headed back to the ship to collect our things.”
Jinx looked surprised, ”When does the ship head out?” he asked.
“A few hours.” Bethyam answered. She looked sad.
Jinx looked slightly disappointed.
Lucky had noticed that Jinx and Bethyam had grown rather close the past weeks, “Galeed.” she said, “why don’t I help you get your things together.”
Galeed understood her meaning, “that would be helpful.” He turned to his daughter, “I will see you at the ship.” He and Lucky left for the ship leaving Jinx and Bethyam to say good bye.
