“She’s quiet a steal isn’t she?” said the carpenter, “and she’s been in a hard battle recently too.”
“You think you can get her finished up?” asked Jonny.
“Nothing to it,” said the carpenter, “It’ll just take a few days.”
“Whatever it takes,” said Jonny. A bit latter he released his crew for leave till the job was done, saving only a few to keep watch.
Lucky didn’t respond. She had her fingers at her lips.
“Lucky?” he asked.
“Hm?” Lucky looked at him.
“Have you been listening at all?”
“Yeah,” she nodded, “we get the bone, I get the key, and you get the box. It’s a good plan.”
“Thanks.” Her brother smiled.
