XCII

Jinx surfaced.

“Did you find it?” asked William who had been waiting for him in the long boat.

Jinx shook his head. “But I think I saw the wreckage a couple of yards off.” He pointed in the direction.

William helped Jinx into the boat and they rowed in the direction jinx had thought he saw the wreckage. Jinx jumped into the water and swam to the sea floor. As he swam he wondered how his sister was doing, and if she was having better luck then he was.

The wreckage looked like some kind of ghost in the gloomy sea waters at lest what was left. Jinx swam around the chard remains. Schools of fish had already clamed the wreck as there were home, and there were already signs that a new reef was in the process of forming. It had to be here. With out the chest the key would be worthless. Inside was the map to Captain Jinn’s treasure.

Jinx looked all over, in every nook and cranny, even shifting though the sands. He was focusing so hard he didn’t notice the dark shadows slowly making its way to him.
