Lucky opened her eyes groggily. She didn’t want to move.
“Once again you prove you live up to your name.”
Lucky sat up slowly and saw the captain. “How long have I slept?” she asked.
“A week.” Archer answered. “Your friend said you breathed in to much of the hydra’s blood.”
“He’s not my friend.” Lucky said.
“Well what ever he is, he left you this.” Archer handed Lucky a large Dark gem. The one she had cut out of the hydra.
Lucky held it in her hands, “It’s really not much to look at is it?”
“For being a stone that offers immortality? No.” Archer said as he smiled, “How does it work?”
Lucky shrugged, “I’m not an alchemist, I’m not even sure it’s a philosopher’s stone.” she held the stone up to the light, “But I wonder if it would catch Meylesa’s eye.” She put it down.
Archer opened his mouth to speak, but before he could his first mate burst through the door, “Captain the Lorien has been spotted off the bow.”
